The Centre for the Study of Religious History (CEHR) is a research and training unit of the Catholic University of Portugal. Its activities are focused on the field of history of the religious phenomenon, working on the interactions between the social dynamic and the religious dynamic.
The Centre consists of a set of Researchers which, assigned to 4 Research Lines, form Working Groups, develop Projects, conduct Continued Seminars and Scientific Meetings.
The CEHR publishes the "Lusitania Sacra" journal and three book collections: "Estudos de História Religiosa" (Studies of Religious History), collection that publishes master and doctoral theses, collective books and other studies ; "História Religiosa - Fontes e Subsídios" (Religious History - Sources and Subsidies), collection that publishes documentary sources and other work tools useful for research; "Instrumentos de Descrição Documental" (Instruments for Documental Description), collection launched in 2012 with the aim of making public, primarily in digital format, inventories and catalogs of archives.
